It has been an exciting year for health and safety in British Columbia, and especially
for the Lower Mainland Chapter. The LMC has recently announced the formation of a
new chapter in the Fraser Valley (subject to approval from National) to better serve the
safety community in Langley, Abbotsford and east into the valley. The LMC is working
on many new and exciting services, as well as programs, to offer our members and the
community.
All of these programs are due to the growing support of our member community; a
community comprised of leading individuals and organizations; a community comprised
of professionals seeking competent opinion, information and advice.
One of the programs we are establishing is a sponsorship program for companies and/
or organizations that will allow them to present their products or services to a body
of safety professionals that have a direct influence on the use or purchase of these
products and services. In addition, the Chapter is offering student sponsorship packages
for companies or individuals that will provide BCIT students, encountering financial
hardship, a financial break and allow them to attend monthly meetings.
Meeting Sponsorship
The BC Lower Mainland Chapter is offering companies / organizations / vendors the
opportunity to sponsor a monthly meeting. Sponsorship will allow the sponsor to
receive recognition for their sponsorship, showcase their products and/or services, and
address the members. The sponsors have the option of choosing one of two levels that
provide specific benefits for each level.
Gold Sponsor – $1,000.00
• Banner on the CSSE LMC website ‘Homepage’ with a link to the sponsor’s website for
a period of 90 days.
• Signage at the door of the sponsored meeting highlighting sponsor’s name and/or
logo.
• Exhibit table at the entrance to display products and/or services as well as the
opportunity to place brochures on the dinner tables.
• An introduction as the meeting sponsor and an opportunity to address the members
for 15 minutes regarding your products and/or services.
Silver Sponsor – $500.00
• Banner on the CSSE LMC website ‘Homepage’ with a link to the sponsor’s website for
a period of 30 days.
• Signage at the door of the sponsored meeting highlighting sponsor’s name and/or
logo.
• Exhibit table at the entrance to display products and/or services as well as the
opportunity to place brochures on the dinner tables.
• An introduction as the meeting sponsor and an opportunity to address the members
for 10 minutes regarding your products and/or services.
The sponsorship funds will provide the Chapter with the opportunity to seek out and
schedule high quality speakers that charge a fee and expense package currently beyond
the Chapter budget. These funds may also allow the Chapter to develop relevant and
member requested training programs that may involve outside instructors or speakers.
Student Sponsorship
A number of students attending the BCIT Occupational Health & Safety program on a
full-time basis are very limited financially and often cannot attend monthly meetings
due to a lack of resources. The Chapter would like to extend the opportunity to
companies, organizations or individual members to sponsor a student for a meeting.
Student sponsorship would allow the Chapter to grant qualifying students the
opportunity to attend the meetings gratis. The sponsorships would be granted on a
rotating basis to the qualifying students so all of students may have an opportunity to
attend.
To encourage member participation in this program; any company, organization or
individual that commits to a student sponsorship will receive a $10.00 discount on their
meeting / dinner fee for that particular month. For members, the sponsorship would
mean a fee of $25.00 for their dinner and $25.00 for the student for a total of $50.00.
This discount is limited to one member per student sponsorship.
